I received the news of the death of Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, aka Sir John, with great shock and deep sadness. Indeed, the disbelief and grief expressed by many at the news of his death are testimony to how people, in and out of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), felt about him.
Passionate devotee of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia political tradition, outstanding stalwart of the NPP, strong defender of human rights as a lawyer, proud, faithful adherent of the Christian Adventist faith – these were the multi-facetted aspects of the career and character of ‘Sir John’, which earned him considerable renown both as erstwhile General Secretary of the NPP and CEO of the Forestry Commission. Energetic, ebullient, jovial, with an exceptional sense of humour, and possessing a limitless store of folktales and proverbs, he affected positively every person with whom he came into contact. He was truly unforgettable, and our party and government owe him an immense debt for his work and commitment.
My wife Rebecca and I extend our deepest condolences to his entire family. Sakora Wonoo has lost a valiant son. He will be widely missed.
May the Good Lord bless him, and give him a peaceful place of abode in His Bosom until the Last Day of the Resurrection when we shall all meet again.

Just days after getting disappointed by her baby’s daddy ,former HIV/AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah seems to be expecting another baby soon.
Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has taken to social media to disclose that she is one-month pregnant for Mr.Stephen Ampofo. This was after she had taken a pregnancy test at home using a test kit.
This is quite surprising because no one would ever think she would get herself pregnant by the same Mr. Stephen Ampofo who seems unwilling to name their first child. At this point in time, it is obvious Joyce Dzidzor Mensah would be the most confused mother in the world. From the way things are unfolding, it is certain she isn’t a legal wife to Mr. Stephen Ampofo. At a time that Mr. Stephen Ampofo has even blocked her from calling him, no one knows what Joyce Dzidzor Mensah would do next. Would she have to keep the pregnancy or abort it as soon as possible? If she decides to abort the baby is it not right that she first seeks the consent of Mr. Stephen Ampofo?

He will be remembered for his choice of words, biblical allusions and words of wisdom. His movie combination with Akrobeto cannot not be forgotten
Always posing as a strong figure in movies, it broke hearts when it wasn’t announced that he had passed away.
On May 2, 2020, the Ghanaian entertainment industry was served with the heartbreaking news about the demise of the talented actor, Bernard Nyarko, who is affectionately called Bishop after he battled illness for some time.
Even though his demise has seen a lot of his colleagues and Ghanaians pay glowing tributes in his honour, the same cannot be said about how his family has dealt with some issues.
Early on, his brother (Isaac Darko) was engaged in a media ‘war’ against some top actors and actress who supposedly were not there for Bishop Nyarko at the time he was ill but suddenly started show care when he died.
Well, ahead of his final burial we are picking up some negative information as some sources close to the family in a chat with zionfelix under cover of anonymity alleged that all is not well even with his children.
We were told that the children of ‘Bishop’ Bernard Nyarko, a gentleman and two ladies are suffering a lot financially.
Flagbearer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Dramani Mahama has reacted to the ruling by the Supreme Court on the compilation of a New Voter register for the conduct of the 2020 Elections. He has expressed dissatisfaction in the ruling of the Supreme Court, indicating the party disagrees with the decision of the seven panel members of the Supreme Court. He says the NDC is disappointed in the ruling.
He however urged Ghanaians to go out in their numbers to register and exercise their franchise in the 2020 elections. “The supreme court gave its ruling in case brought by the NDC against the EC over its decision to compile a new voter register. Despite the genuine reasons we gave, the court has excluded the existing ID as proof of citizenship for the for the compilation of the new register. We disagree with the court with this outcome. Our Legal team is examining the decision,” he indicated in a live broadcast a while ago.
He expressed dissatisfaction in the Electoral Commission’s current posture indicating, the commission has allowed itself to be used by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). In May this year, the main Opposition Party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) through its lawyers sued the Electoral Commission of Ghana at the Supreme Court on a decision by the commission to compile a new voter register. The NDC had made several arguments on why the Electoral Commission must not be allowed to compile the new voter register. One of its numerous arguments was the fact that the exercise is unnecessary and will involve a lot of money. The NDC prayed the court to stop the commission from compiling the new register and subsequently asked the court to allow the commission include the existing voter ID card as a proof of citizenship, should it go ahead to compile the new voters register. After the first hearing in court, the NDC decided to drop the suit imploring the court to stop the commission from compiling the new register. The case which was left in contention was for the court to compel the commission allow Ghanaians to use the existing ID card as a proof of citizenship for the registration
